My Story

...is grounded in thirteen years of reading aloud to kids.  I've read them everything from If you Give a Mouse a Cookie to A Court of Thorns and Roses.  Heavily abridged, of course.

With a former career in healthcare software doing project management, training, and development, plus a degree in communication studies and a lifetime of public speaking opportunities, I'm as comfortable telling stories on the stage or in a classroom as I am in my home recording studio.

Now I'm a part of a book industry family!  Check out my uncle, Dave Bruns, a crime drama novelist, and my other uncle, Don Bruns, a USA Today bestselling mystery author!

In my spare time, I get excited about animals, accents, and travel.  Hobbies I've collected over the years include playing the piano and oboe, birdwatching, paper crafting, pole dancing, martial arts, developing programs for gifted & talented children, and ping pong.  

I am thrilled to tell any story, but I particularly love reading fantasy, sci fi, humor, and off-the-beaten-path non-fiction.  And I eat up cute romance with a spoon.
